🧩 QUOTE OF THE MONTH
“The moment that you feel that, just possibly, you’re walking down the street naked, exposing too much of your heart and your mind and what exists on the inside, showing too much of yourself. That’s the moment you may be starting to get it right.”
— Neil Gaiman
STATUS OF MY 5 HEALTH PILLARS:
◈NUTRITION:
- Now practicing some deliberate fasting due to how majority (Christians and Muslims around me geographically) seem to be doing this
- Cutting back on green tea and coffee stimulants
- I don’t think anything beats homemade despite convenience and “taste” of take-out; intentionally choosing more home cooking.
◈MOVEMENT:
- Had gym injury #2: right patellar chrondromalacia and then a recent tooth extraction, so mostly just walking or doing tame stretches for at least 2-3 more weeks.
- I’m ITCHING to do strength-training again but then my knees still don’t seem well for any leg exercises…
- I’d be trying out a last trainer+gym membership experience when I’m ready.
So far I’ve tried a month of trainer+membership in two other gyms.
◈REST/SLEEP:
- I’ve always had trouble keeping a proper sleep schedule, sometimes still “yo-yoing” (aka some days, I go to sleep well on time (before 12AM) but the next day I seem too invincible and then end up staying up til late after 3AM…not good
- Trying to not take naps (which would make me more awake into the night)
- Avoiding the tea and coffee would be helping
- Gav’s interesting supplement consultant AI, again reminded me that I should try magnesium to see if sleep quality and consistency can be improved.
◈PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT:
Self
- I realize I have some sort of executive dysfunction or avoidance tendency once nervousness or anxious feelings come up, related to what I need to be doing, but fearing imaginary nonsenses…
- It’s become frequent and very crippling and utterly affecting my academics and business commitments.
- This manifests in the form of whole 1-6PM afternoon series binges…which is what Tara Westover had called a form of “mental breakdown” from reading her memoir, Educated, a while back…
- Started a purge of all distracting media: movies, series, animations, even music so I will have nothing too easy to get lost into.
- The only things I’ve kept were French or Mandrain dub and sub versions of anything (if I really do need escape…I’m making it listening practice in my target study languages)
business
- Trying to post more frequently on Linkedin (recently shared the latest results of 30 (almost daily) posts)
- Get ready for a praise/pitch-in-public post series
- I’m seriously very distracted due to #Shiny Object Syndrome and will have to let go of so many pursuits that are currently clouding the biz priorities for this month: Serving at least two new clients in my Ghostwriting Business (meanwhile juggling this along with full-time med school)
- Tax annual reporting in Belize is super confusing and I’d be coming up with a Guide of some sort if I get through it properly
Academics
- About to complete Family Medicine rotation by mid-March
- My next rotation would be OB/GYN – finally! More into women’s health, which is what I’d want to focus on the most.
- Currently figuring out how to apply for Natural and Traditional Medicine specialty studies.
◈INTERPERSONAL DEVELOPMENT:
Online
- Attended Emerging Healthcare Voices: 3-Part Live Online Training and connected with other health professionals who want to build an online thought leadership and personal brand
- Felt ultra-empowered to continue sharing my healthy nutrition thought leadership
In-person
- In a recent sobering Daily Stoic newsletter, I’m reminded about this principle to ingrain within me:
“People are the way they are. They will always be this way. We don’t control that. We do control who we are. We control whether we let them drag us down. We control whether we become like them.”
- And along with Leila Hormozi’s no BS philosophies about who you surround yourself with,
- I’ve re-evaluated current friendships of late, and decided to simply move on based on their behavior and actions. I don’t even find any need to explain myself…I want to be surrounded by and spend the MOST time with people with similar values and goals, so that we champion each other.

The NOW page responds to the question, “What are you currently doing?” and details what someone is focused on at this moment in their life.
